Put a can of refried beans in there at the end.

Refried beans will thicken the chili and not change the flavor. I always add a can in there as well as in my pinto beans to thicken them. Try it. Thank me later.

As much as I love most kinds of beans, I do not put them in my chili.

If you don't have beans in chili then all you have is chili sauce. Might as well pour it over spaghetti. grin

Are people who use "chili kits" to make chili allowed to decide weather it can have beans or not? The kit explains their experience or lack there of... scared popcorn

This is chili (deer chili/Texas Red).

These are beans.

They do not go together, unless you're a Yankee. grin

I usually don't go to this much trouble while giving out my recipe, but I also add sugar as well as vinegar. The chili powder is loaded with paprika.
