I'm looking for a new scope for a 22-250 and came across the Burris Veracity. The Veracity has the same glass and less money than the XTR ii so it might be a option.

Does it come in Mil/Mil or only MOA?

Looks like a great scope.

Good question. The website says you can get custom turrets base in mil or moa but it has a ballistic plex reticle .I don't know what the reticle is based on mil or moa.

They are all MOA and the reticles all have MOA subtensions. I looked at them too, ended up with an XTR II 3-15x for a great deal on eBay.

I have a 2-10 on my Grendel. I've been pretty pleased with it. I bought it because of the magnification range. I wanted 2 on the low end for running shots on pigs. I wanted at least ten on the high end for longer shots. It does well for Grendel hunting ranges.

I don't know how it compares to the XTR. I feel it's a very good value, though. I've got my money's worth.

I'm not sure exactly how the reticle works, but I believe it's more of a BDC type than MOA or MIL. I couldn't swear to it, though. I never could find anything to explain that properly. I did get lucky, however, in that it matches my Grendel perfectly at 100 yard intervals. At the altitude and normal conditions I shoot, anyway. I would prefer straight MOA or MIL, but this works as long as you verify the ranges vs. the load.

I'll probably upgrade to an XTR or similar, just to have ballistic turrets and a little more magnification on the top end to help satisfy this long range shooting bug I've caught, and to take advantage of that particular rifles accuracy at extended ranges. I've sold the rifle a bit short, as it turns out, through no fault of the scope. This scope does come up short beyond 600 yards. Even at 600, I had to use the reticle in a different manner than it was designed for, but with decent results. It's really a 500 yard scope. I won't ditch the Veracity when I upgrade, though. It will go on another rifle that is more suited for it.

Sneaky,

This link explains how the ballistic plex reticle in the Veracity works.
