Their just like kids. They will test you to see what they can get away with. I'm teaching my 7 month old pup to stay on the tile. This has been a standard for her for a few months, normally I'm watching her all the time though, otherwise she is in her kennel or back yard. Today I let her stay out of her kennel all day, while I was in the office, I would check on her every now and then. She will test me and lay right on the edge, and put 1 paw over and see what I do. I correct her by stepping on her paw. She keeps on testing me though, I let her get away with this one lol...

Ever had one try to sneak up onto your bed one foot at a time?

My old lab who is now 11 and sleeps on the bed all the time used to when she was younger. She'd come and stare at me in the dark and check if I was asleep. If I was really still and quiet she'd sneak to the foot of the bed and try and creep up there. When she'd get about half way I'd sit up and catch her.....eventually I'd actually fall asleep and she'd be up there in the morning. The new pup sleeps in her kennel except for every now then.

Ah, she just wants to be with you.
