If you want help with my idea....... PM me and I'll walk you thru it, I bet you could "gut" the entire factory housing and engineer something that would/could be user friendly.

I assure you this is not the first time some one has had this problem AND they chose NOT to spend $1000. Google is your friend.

Was wondering about this

I'm having the exact same issue with my 2011 TransMule. I'm about to order a new fuel filter from Amazon for $170 that is an aftermarket replacement for the factory Kawasaki unit that sells for $695

Did you get it fixed? Was it the fuel pump? Are you happy with it now?

Yeah it does fix. But not permanently. We've bought the 60 dollar Chinese filters and the one you're probably talking about. They seem to work for 6 months to a year. But hey, I can but 6 of those for what they want.

Thanks. I just noticed that I said I was going to buy a fuel filter to fix it. The fuel filter is a screen that's built into the bottom of the fuel pump and it's just a screen that doesn't do a lot.

I bought the $170 fuel pump on Amazon and installed it the other day. it's a ten minute job, so that was a nice surprise. Probably the easiest fuel pump that I've ever replaced!!! The power is amazing, it's like a brand new vehicle. I think that I got used to it losing power over time and didn't realize that was the problem until I took off the fuel line, turned on the key and only saw a dribble of fuel come out. Now I feel dumb for not trying that a year ago.

you can but a complete new fuel pump tower for 600 online.... 6 screws and it installs...sorry just seeing the amazon pump people are using....looks like a viable alternative.. We just replaced the filters on 2 4010s and they were filled with chit!!! amazing how bugs get in your tank..both are running like new now.....I will be replacing the filter ever 100 hrs after this...

Is this a "plug in play"..? There is a plug that is on the tower as well not the top one...

Just a fyi.... anyone having clutch issues... I took both of mine off and took to Irving Kawasaki...He "rebuilt" both, replacing worn parts as needed and keeping the parts still good... 175 out the door.... was quoted 600 to take it in and have rebuilt and 1200 to completely replace the 2 clutches...Also if you choose to do this you HAVE to have a clutch puller!!!! Dont let you tube guys tell you otherwise.. There is no way you are pulling the main clutch off with out one....they are 40 dollars on amazon...My 4010 trans shredded one belt at 400 hrs so figured time to take em in....Runs like a champ now....Before the belty shredded I was having loss of power and trouble getting the mule in to gear... Now it goes in to gear like butter....
