I wouldnt mind 1 or 2 more stages like that. Everyone shoots the same stage with same gun and same ammo - no advantages, no excuses. It was the one stage I couldnt blame my gun, scope, ammo, base, rings, turret, reticle, prone vs bench. Every other stage I had at least 1 excuse for.

That was half of the reason for making that stage, level playing field. Just comes down to shooter. But it's tricky having multiple stage guns, and ammo for them.

Other half of the reason was the nostalgia for lots of people that have in fact hunted things with a rimfire.

Spent all night on Gun Broker looking for a rifle like Chads. None compared in condition. Chads 100 year old gun looked like it just came out of the box. SWEEEEEEEEEEEEET

I agree on doing it again!!!

Jason, we talked about a rimfire match, great idea

You, Chad, Walter rocked it as usual.

It was great putting faces with names. Patrick, we still need name badges

Speaking of badges and HBC, Patrick AKA BIL, freekin kicked azz, pushed by the greatness of Big Fitz !!!!

Watch out for 2beez at the next match, young man can flat shoot.

Dang Msourch (Karl) got my Rye Whiskey before me, dam, have to shoot better next time.

Kmon1, is a great guy.....for a Moderator peep

I needed more coffee, I didn't wake up till the off hand station, KYL was a flat wake up for me, how could you miss that GIANT first square from a freekin benchrest!!!! I dang sure did, All my misses, I could only blame on me NOT my equipment, lesson learned but that's why we do it. Well, maybe someone twisted my elevation turret, maybe not

Highlight of the day was when Jason shot Chad's secret recipe, sub sonic, 7mm-08 loads. took 5 seconds to get to the steel 400 yards away. Sounded like, CLICK.......TINK

clap

Man I wish we didn't have to leave right away. That sub sonic thing sounds super cool.

It was a great time and met some fine folks, as always with THF events.

Thanks again Jason, Chad and Walter for all the hard work and organizing such a great event.

Judd, we missed you bud and hope you are feeling better. I am beginning to notice the correlation of rain and you being an RO. You don't make it out and the weather is PERFECT! The rain is due to either you or Obama. peep rofl

It was great finally meeting Buzz and Patrick is a great natural shot but he is still a big girl. cheers

DLALLDER, it was great having you and your wife there yesterday.

The gentleman who took DAL left right after you did. There were only a couple of hits that separated the race for the "PINK" trophy.

Brother in Law was 1st
Big Fitz 2nd
I was 10th

csmoch and 2beez were near the top, that's all I know.

Chital, it was good meeting you, your father and uncle. You did a great job shooting a stock 30-06 and good to see a young guy taking interest in the sport. See you next year!

Leupold bases are fine, just use a dab of blue locktite and a torque wrench next time. You did pretty good considering you were shooting full house 30-06 sporter rifle. Bet your shoulder feels great today. Just keep your nose to the grindstone and you will do better next time! Experience trumps gear everytime.

Kyle, those are 'raccoon eyes', seen a great deal among fisherman...

Great pics by all. Fitz, if you wait a couple seconds next time my left hand will be where it belongs, under the butt, instead of over Chad's pecker! bolt

Chital, bases are a matter of preference....many prefer to mount a Picatinny rail on each rifle, making it easy to move scopes around, not worry about different bases, etc..Jason has made many posts on this and the ability to move scopes around and still be very close to a solid zero.

Looking forward to next year! P_102
