I had seen their building on my way to and from San Antonio, but couldn't figure out how to get to it, since it was on an access road off I-10. Finally figured it out yesterday and dropped in to look the place over. I was blown away! What a beautiful layout they have! Clean as a pin, well lit, lots of gun stuff to fondle and buy, and a great indoor range. They offer all kinds of stuff, so check out their web site: https://www.bing.com/search?q=apache+rif...p;setlang=en-USThey are "veteran friendly;" and active military, LEO, and First Responder friendly as well, offering discounts for various services. If you live within a couple of hours of Comfort, you really need to check this place out. Since getting to it is a bit tricky, here's a hint: coming down I-10 from Kerrville, take Exit 524; if you're coming up I-10 from San Antonio, take Exit 527.

Thanks for the post. I live fairly close and pass there often. I'll check it out.

And, Creekrunner, they have the MILO range set-up that you can use either laser or live fire to work through the various scenarios! http://www.milorange.com/

Are they building guns yet? Last time I was there machine shop was not operational yet. I second comment on quality of facility. Paul has big plans for the place I hope they work out.

Not building them, yet. They're still waiting on their lathe. And, yes, the plans they have are really ambitious! They want to put in an archery range, and then they want to work their way out with rifle ranges for 100, 200, 500 and 1,000 yards! I wish them the best and fully intend to be a good, steady customer of theirs as their horizons expand!

Thanks for the review and access tips. I see them every Friday and Sunday, coming and going from the ranch.

You really need to take a few minutes and stop by the place, Simple Searcher! Talk to the range officer, Capt. Royce Penshorn, and have him give you a quick overview of what they have going and what they have planned for the future. It is impressive.

Buzzsaw, I couldn't resist it so went BACK to their place this morning, armed with my 9mm and my 22WMR pistols and a chunk of ammo for each. Practiced my "2 shots to the COM; 1 shot to the head" routine. Had a great time, and once again, the people were really nice. AND, I noticed that they do sell other things than AR's, so you may be able to escape without buying another one. Also, they have a fully automatic AR 16 that you are allowed to shoot! Has a 30 round magazine which you can whip through in a very short period of time. This place may be "gunner's paradise." You'll leave their place of business shell shocked, powder burned and broke, but smiling all the way home!!
