That would depend on the contract and agreement in the sale.

Know a Cabela's employee that took one out to try and loves it. His first evening out 2 big preggo sows and a boar on his first night out with it.

Agreed but if they continue they'll wind up being a cabelas version of the new stuff I would bet. I'd be surprised though. Cabelas didn't seem to sale many at all.

Per a FLIR/Armasight rep, FLIRs acquisition of Armasight was in the pipeline long before Cabelas OEM'd their thermals for their product line.

Anything rebranded with a Cabelas logo is gtg. Particularly when the item has a lifetime warranty like the one offered on Cabelas website on their Armasight manufactured Zeus & Hellhound thermals. If you buy it and you don't like it or it breaks, it's a simple matter to return it for refund. Cabelas no-questions-asked warranty on a product manufactured by Armasight/FLIR is definitely a win for anyone who's had to RMA a thermal or requested a refund after a problem plagued purchase.

Regarding Cabelas thermals, the user Kmon referenced that demo'd the Hellhound, he said he was quite pleased with the performance. He sent some pics of the hunt and had a grin ear to ear his first time out with it. I'm hoping to demo the thermal myself before he returns it.

Since Bass Pro is buying Cabela's, assuming the sale goes through, will the Cabela's warranty survive the transition?
Granted this is off on a tangent but the warranty is part of the price and a major consideration.
