Will not group with 3 various loads best group 1.25" @ 100 yards load is Choice Ammunition 162 Grain Hornady ELDX, 2nd best group 1.5" Barnes Vortx 160 grain Barnes factory ammo and 3rd group just under 2" with Hornady 154 grain SST. The rate of twist is 9.5". Would anyone have some insight on why this rifle won't group or a load to try? I've heard nothing but good things about these Tikka rifles but can't get mine to group. I've got close to $1500 in gun/scope combined and 2 other rifles that I've got less than $700 gun/scope combined and get 1/2" groups out of those with factory ammo.

Few tips:
- Make sure all the screws are tight. - Check to see if the barrel is free floated - If the barrel is not free floating then I would sand down the stock.
Recently, I bought a used Tikka 7mm-08 and it was grouping over 1 inch at 100 yards. I check to see if the barrel was free floating and it wasn't. I sanded down the stock, made sure all screws were tight, took it to the range and it was grouping under 1/2 inch.
Did you clean it recently?

Gone to Texas advice is spot on. Check the free float. My Tikka Varmint wasn't free-floated, and it's supposed to have a huge gap between the stock and heavy barrel.

Did you clean it recently? I've tried it clean and left the barrell fouled but either way not grouping. I will check to make the barrell is free floating.
