I've just bought some land with a live creek a couple of stock tanks. What can I plant in the tanks to attract ducks. Also have an area iould flood. Where can I get some advice on what to plant and when?

Plant the area you can flood. Barnyard grass, millet, corn

Ditto... we had fantastic success planting japanese millet this duck season. We planted as the water receded during the late summer and then got lucky with rains at the perfect time to flood it. If you can let it grow and then flood as mentioned above it is even better.

Call your local NRCS office as brazosboyt suggested.

TPWD biologist is another good option. http://tpwd.texas.gov/landwater/land/technical_guidance/biologists/

If you're in the right area Ducks Unlimited biologist might be an option. typically along the coast.

Also, US Fish and Wildlife Service, Partners for Fish and Wildlife is another option.

Those are options to talk to public biologists at no cost.
