I could be wrong but isn't this the exact same recall they had last year and the year before that?

I think you are correct. Not a new problem.

Been sayin it for years.
Remington clearly can't build a trigger for their 700. They need to partner with Timney and sell brand new rifles with a Timney trigger. Bet Remington could order such a large volume that the end price of the rifle might increase $50.
Not unlike Federal selling some ammo with Sierra bullets.

Fire: Nah, that's too simple of a solution and makes too much sense for big businesses!!

Not unlike Federal selling some ammo with Sierra bullets. I might actually consider buying a Remington if they did that. But since most manufacturers offer a good factory trigger and Remington's quality control is terrible I don't foresee ever owning a new one.

I had a 600 Mohawk in 243, I was handing to my son and it went off when the safety was moved to the fire. I Have had nothing but problem with their triggers. I have a model 721 rem with the machined trigger not stamped It has been problem free for a 1950 vintage gun.

I only have 1 Remington 700 (had it for over 20 years) and 1 Model Seven (which I recently traded for) left.
I changed out the 700's trigger when I started having issues with it 18 years ago. All subsequent 700's I've had since then I've replaced the stock triggers with Timney's. I inherited my father's 700 and replaced that trigger as well before giving the rifle to my brother. The Model Seven I wanted for my wife, so the first thing I did was replace the stock trigger. I'll still buy or trade for a decent used 700 with the expectation of replacing the trigger. I refuse to buy a new one, too many other excellent options out there without having to worry about the trigger issues and recalls out of the box.

Remington is too cheap and greedy to team up with Timney Triggers lol. I gave my old Remington 700 to my buddy and would never buy a newer model 700. It was an old 700 30-06 that could take stripper clips and I bought it for a bedding and accurizing course at school. The new 700's really do have a crappy trigger. I bought a Tikka T3X Hunter LH last year and the trigger is great. Same price as a 700 but definitely much better quality out of the box. Definitely going to buy another Tikka down the road.

Not unlike Federal selling some ammo with Sierra bullets. ^^^ I won't buy another Remington unless it comes with a Timney.
