Years ago, early 80's, when first married, we were given tickets by my employer to our first DU banquet. As we entered a lady offered raffle tickets. "$5.00 each or 5 for $20.00" I was broke. Very broke. "I'll take one," I said, feeling like I should contribute something to the event. She handed me a sheet of 5 tickets. I said, "No, just one." She said, "I was joking, they are only sold in sheets of 5." All I had was a $20 and I was embarrassed to say I couldn't buy one so I gave her my last $20 until payday and told my wife what had happened. Those five tickets won (1) a duck decoy, (2) a framed print, (3) a nice game vest, (4) the local chapter entry into a state-wide drawing for a Canada bear hunt. A nice return on $20. Two of those items still adorn my office. Pictures below.
“And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8

Cool story.
I've never won anything. You had a stroke of luck that night.
