Does anyone know of a place within a 75 mile drive of the San Antonio area that has spring turkey hunting for a reasonable price? Due to my job I don't normally get any weekdays to hunt, so I would like to do either a day trip or short overnight weekend to go hunt. I have experience hunting turkeys with shotgun and crossbow, so method of harvest is not an issue for me. I just can't afford these ranches that want hundreds and thousands of dollars for a 2-3 night stay just to harvest one bird. I'm just happy if a deer ranch would allow me to hunt on their property so I can bust a couple birds (and perhaps a hog if it comes along) from raiding their deer feeders. Any ideas?

I have extremely prime land in seguin just east of SA and I have even more prime land just west of SA in Junction. I can get you a bird on a 1 day hunt for $550 if I have another single hunter looking for a 1 day hunt. We run spring turkeys down there 2 guns 2 days 2 birds fully guided for $1100 or 1 gun 2 days 4 birds for $2100. Lots of hogs varmints and fishing included. The turkey hunts are guaranteed to work birds and being that the guides are experts at getting them dead your chances of success are very high. Give me a call to talk a little more. I will be selling spring turkey hunts this year on my ranch. I will guarantee you at least hear turkeys. I see them every trip out but hunting is hunting. It would be a semi-guided trip. I'm asking $1,000 for 2 guys/two turkey each. 2 nights in the cabin on 600 acres in Bend Tx. May be a little far but you can also go fish at Colorado Bend State Park also as my place borders the park.
And I'm open for pretty much any 3 days of the week so doesn't have to be on the weekend.
