I have recently retuned from 8 years of service overseas, a whole lot of that time I've been lurking on this site being very jealous of the hunting opportunities in TX. Well, the waiting is over and I'm lucky enough to be headed to Dallas from Albuquerque at the end of March and would love to do some hog hunting on the way.

I've done some research and the outfitter options seem endless so I'd like to ask the experts about what I should be looking for when talking to outfitters about hog hunts. What questions should I be asking and what is important for making a good fun hog hunt.

Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. It's damn fine to be back in the states again.

+1 & ta HF ... Have seen several outfitters mentioned with on this forum, did mine on WMA land, do it yourself hunts... Some can be hot spots for hogs do ta limited hunting pressure... OSBWMA in Smith county but it can get wet...
Hog hunting, it's a blast, had set up behind house for hunting... Gun deer would find me at OSBWMA archery, deer & hog, till shoulder finally gave out... they have hog, any legal means Jan-end of March.... Hopefully some day, i'll be back ...
