Anyone ever installed one of these? Is it a complicated system or do you just place it where the current water heater is now and use the in and out water lines from the existing heater?

you gotta upgrade the electrical lines (from 30amp) to like 80amp, (or 100, or 120), depending on the unit.
Hope you're breaker box is close, and you've got lotsa open spaces for the the 2 or 3 sets of double breakers!

Other than that, easy to plumb in (don't require drain pain or overflow line)...

Way better off with a 80-gallon heat-pump water heater if you're all electric ....

Ya its seeming that way. The gas tankless seems to be the way to go too. No gas to the house. Probably just stick with the conventional heater.

That would be best, Electric tankless are not a good solution for many and most of them suxs. Tankless on natural gas can be a good solution.

True the electrics have came a long way, but no comparison to NG or propane.

Only used one once. It would put out water that would burn the hell out of you for 3 seconds and then you were luck if it was lukewarm.

It's hell eatin em live
