Bought a 6.5 Savage Creedmoor with a Weaver scope. I had previously taken my Leopold VX 1 with the dovetail mounting system off my Remington Model 700. Decided to swap it out but it doesn't match the holes on my Savage. Looked on Leupold site for mounting systems for Savage and they didn't have any. Can I just use the Weaver bases and get some rings? I sure do like how this dove tail system keeps my scope locked in. Any suggestions on where to look would be appreciated.

I just add a set of Talleys to a Savage 116. Their website makes it easy to locate what you need. Most of the rings are 49.95 a set! Good Luck with your choice

Leupold makes DD bases for Savage.

This is what works If you have one with an AccuTrigger.

If you put picatinny rails on all your rifles it's very easy to swap out scopes. P_102

This is true also and what I'd do.
