I have a Husky that liked to travel she would be gone for day's. I bought the HavaHart Radial select online for 179.00, it has worked wonders, just one caution you must make sure the battery's are fresh. I change mine every other day. It comes with two rechargeable battery's.

There are three in my neighborhood. They all work fine.

Dog Watch invisible fence. Ours is great. The dog collar batteries last years. The competition goes through expensive batteries monthly in the collars.

DogWatch also has great training collars.

Cant do hot wire...4 gates and a driveway.

Kennel....not trying to trash my place. I have a dog that needs to and likes to run. She is an inside dog. I have trouble with her leaving our property when I let her outside. Im not sticking her in a 10x10 cage.

I know of a few people with them and they work great. You do have to train the dog and if it's hard headed you need the "hotter collar" but they work great for the people I know with them. I have no clue what brand but all of them have the buried wire.

It cost us 2k to fence two acres. The fence itself is just a buried wire so the size of the enclosure is not a large cost. The money is in the electronics. They will also train your dogs to mind the fence.

I have a male Great Pyrenese, female lab, and male Jack Russel. I put a underground fence in myself, 4500ft. It works great, out of the three dogs the Jack Russel was the toughest, he broke it 4 times and that was enough for him. Going three years strong no escapes. Bought mine at tractor supply, think its Pet Safe. I was always against putting a dog in kennel and the fence is money well spent, no hyper active dogs, they have plenty room to roam, and no cleaning kennels.

It worked well for my boxer and mixed breed mutt. My ridgeback was much tougher to train though.
