Beretta A300 Outlander Remington V3 Winchester SX3
Ive read good things about all of them. Never shot or even held any of them. Ive only looked at guns with gas systems. My main concern is soft recoil. Otherwise I would just keep hunting with my 870 and not spend the better part of a grand.
Looking for opinions of people who have shot these guns. Thanks guys.

I would go with the Remington. It's made in the USA.

A300 is way less than a grand. You need to see which one fits you the best. You will shoot it better from the beginning than one that doesn't.

The SX3 is the lightest recoil gun I've shot. To be fair, it didn't fit me well and I sold it and went to a Beretta 391. I added mercury recoil devices in the butt stock and magazine cap and that made it very comparable to the SX3. I've not shot the Remington
Good luck!

I have both a Beretta 3901 and an SX3. I paid less that 800 for each but only shoot 3 inch. I have had the beretta for several years and it has performed flawlessly. The SX3 is the same so far. The SX3 fits me slightly better so shoot all 3 and see what you like.

The older I get the more I shy away from recoil. I shot a borrowed SX3 on a few hunts and wound up with a beretta A400. I thought it was good until I shot a buddies Beretta A400. It has all the bells and whistles but the reduced felt recoil is why I bought bought one. I've hunted 2 seasons with it now with zero issues.

Why only those 3 guns? Open to any other options? Could pick up used inertia gun in your price range (especially a SBE2 since the 3's just came out).

I bought the beretta outlander for duck hunting and I like the hell out of it. It comes with shims to give you a more custom stock fit and it soaks up recoil from a 3" magnum load like nothing.
I did not like the SX3 or the versa max, if I had it to do over again I would still get the outlander
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

I wouldn't pick any of those but out of those I'd go with the SX3
You know it's almost the same gun as the Maxus.

Bought a V3 in the fall. It is an outstanding shotgun. Light weight and low recoil.
My son used it on his first duck hunt while I used the 870. Very successful hunt with redheads and a speckle belly.

If you decide on the A-300 get with me before you buy one. I have a camo A-300 has maybe two boxes of shells through it. I'll even include a Pattern Master Code Black choke tube with the three that came with it.

Bought the A300 at auction for a good price. Have always been a Benelli guy, but figured it was a good enough deal to not pass up. In my unbiased opinion, it is a good gun. Only issues I have had with it has been when it gets dirty. First semi auto I have owned, so until this gun I have been on the clean it once a year program with my Nova. If you keep it clean, it performs great. Let it get all dusty or dirty and it will jam. Cant speak on the others as I have not owned them.

Just finished my third season with my A300. Been a solid performer. Way softer recoil than my old Winchester pump. It's not my prettiest gun...nor my sweetest gun... but has taken the abuse as my field gun. I walk in hunt so it gets it's fair share of bumps and bruises. It also has to be reliable! I paired it with some Turlock chokes and it has been deadly. Possibly my best ever shooting percentages were this season with this gun. More doubles than I've ever had! I have the synthetic stock. I'm a big dude with a broad chest so I took out the spacer to give it a 12" lenth of pull and it was the best thing I could have ever done. Easier to shoulder when I'm layered up, i Am more accurate with the shorter lop, and it seems to soften the felt recoil.
I freaked out when it Failed to cycle three times over two hunts (it was always on the third shot that I shouldn't have taken anyway) I thought it was b/c my shells we dirty (had dropped em in the mud earlier) and low temps combined with bad oil. Turns out I didn't have the magazine tube completely screwed in from the last cleaning so it was causing a poor feed. Fixed that and its been rock solid ever since.

If it were me, I'd go with the Beretta. I hunt with a Xtrema 2 and can't say enough good things about it. I run everything from 1oz loads in September up to T's over the course of a season and it hasn't let me down yet. But, like others have expressed, pick which points best for you. I bought my Beretta after I got back from shooting a Urika 2 thousands of times in Argentina and that's what I felt most comfortable with.

Vs a pump any semiauto will feel much softer but certainly gas even more so. I'd also be picky about the ammo you choose as that's going to be a huge factor as far as kick goes. Anyone that shot a turkey load vs a light clays load knows there is a slight difference haha. For the ones listed I'd go with the Beretta.
Dear Lord please bullwhip me for saying this but I agree, Marcstar is in the lead. Please nobody use this as a quote!!!

You know it's almost the same gun as the Maxus. I love my maxus, but having said that if I had to do it over again I'd buy another SX3. Bought one for my wife shortly after getting my maxus and it's a great gun and very comparable to the maxus minus a couple features.

The Maxus and SX3 are literally the same gun with a different facade. If you take the internals out of a Silver hunter a SX3 and Maxus you couldn't tell the difference. I think you can even swap out parts with the Silver and SX3. Ive shot the Silver for over 10 years and it's been shot a ton with all kinds of shells with no issues.

Good luck! My neighbor just bought a Winchester SX3, very nice gun, shoots everything. Ever since Remington changed their semi auto shotguns from the 11-87, they have not appealed to me, not familiar with the Beretta, although their target guns appeal to me.

I love my sx3 but i wish it was the 3" model. I will never shoot 3.5ers out of it and the 3 can cycle lighter loads better.

I have a lot of shotguns, some great quality and some cheaper. I hunt waterfowl with my A300 very often; love it. As said before it is whatever fits you best. Shouldn't be too hard finding those models and testing them for yourself
