Hogs are like cops and prostitutes. They're never around when you need one. Good luck, be sure you know where to shoot him. They're tough.

I live next to pasture 3 they are out there if you can find them. Mostly move at night. Stay in thick stuff during day.

I shoot pigs at night, in the head. Keeps me out of the bar chasing things that cost more than thermal scopes.

cheers Hunting Public, WMA land can be some of the best hunting, yet some of the toughest... with limited time hunting pressure they can be hot spots due to the 24-7-365 pressure that privet owned land has...
Have set up in tree during archery deer & hogs over areas that were away from trails, & litterly torn up, done mostly at night, with out being in bow range...
During hog only hunts, found it best ta hit as Zeb has mentioned thick out of way places, check creeks, tall grass, switch cane, palmetto, downed trees, & such.. Found many bedding areas... Move slowly with eyes scanning area... as pappy says: my best hog hunting been, taking the hunt ta them ... flag

Im sure the hogs in Caddo are similar to the ones in SHNF. Here today gone tomorrow. They move around so much you just have to go find em sometimes. Your best times to actually see them are the first and last 30 minutes of legal shooting time.

A NV scope or a red/green light will most likely be needed at those times. I wouldnt hold your breath on seeing them during the middle of the day although I have seen them once in the SAM.
