Well I will get in a couple more hunts with Tess and have a few months to regret I spent too much time looking for a trophy buck and filling tags and not enough in a blind. However I've learned a couple things about my pup and that I can't shoot near as well as I used to.
I also learned I'm going to have to suck it up and send her off for some training. I'm not capable of getting her to her potential.

He was a double grandson of Snakefoot both top and bottom, and he was a good 'un. Bit of a hardhead, but no quit in him. Matter of fact, I would have to leash him when we got within sight of the truck, when we were finishing up, or he would bolt and go back to hunting...every time. Got some really good pups from him and my old Tess.
