I was changing the oil on my 2014 Tundra and I noticed that the skid plate is bent and I can't get it bolted back with all three bolts (only could get two in). I looked on line and was only able to find new ones. Does anyone know a website where I could find a used one?

I was in the same boat as you. I bent the ever loving crud out of the skid plate for my 2013 Tundra and was never able to find a used one. I watched craig-list in my area for a couple of months and never saw one come up. I called my Toyota dealership and they wanted almost as much as Budbilt for one of theirs. So I bit the bullet and bought one from BudBilt. If you have a pick-n-pull car parts place near you, you may be able to find one on a totaled out Tundra.
Thanks, Rich

They are really nice. They weigh a ton and while you can install them by yourself, it's really a two person job. In the install instructions, they tell you that you need to remove your tow hooks to get them in place they aren't kidding. The hooks are about 1/4 inch in the way as you try to bring the plate up and into place. Once the plates are installed and screwed in, you can put the hooks back on and they are fine.
The only down side I have found is that I had to take mine off to do an oil change and it takes a lot more time to remove these than the factory plate. There is a good size hole in the back plate that is just below the oil pan that should allow the oil to drain. However, since the oil pan plug on my Tundra is on the side of the pan and not the bottom, my oil comes out in an arc toward the front passenger wheel. So my fear is that I would end up draining the oil into the skid plate and then it would end up all over the driveway. There are some after market drain plus that will allow you to open the plug and drain straight down. However, I haven't really researched those very far.
As far as their durability, I hit a couple of rocks pretty hard after I put them on and it didn't even leave a mark on the new plates. With the old plate, I'm sure I would have had a pretty good size dent. I didn't get mine powder coated and they have some rust spots on them at this point. I think the next time I pull them off for an oil change, I'll probably grab a can of black Rustoleum and put a quick coat of paint on them. Other than that, they do a much better job than the thin thing from the factory.
Thanks, Rich
