Not sure if this is the right forum for this but it was as close as I could find. I'm an archaeologly student and I've been interested in atlatls for awhile. Now that I'm in a state that it's legal to use them for hunting (I'm a Washington state native) I'm strongly considering using one for exotics/hogs. I'm looking at designs for Basketmaker atlatls and thinking about making the thrower from PVC and the darts from fiberglass with modern broadheads. A mix of prehistoric and modern. Does anyone have any experience or advice in making/practicing/hunting with atlatls?

No experience but I can't say that thought hasn't crossed my mind as well. But I need to master the recurve killing thing first. welcome

I work hard, drink a little and hunt when I can.
