64 deer in one season off 500 acres? Holy smokes. Guess you either feed a half ton a day or they starve, way above CC.

200 tons/year on 500 acres. I hope you can afford to continue feeding like that because, with the number of deer you're carrying/acre, they're decimating the native habitat by the day.

We have been feeding it for several years now. A lot of our deer have been raised on it. We feed year round with the exception of about 3 weeks a year. We stop feeding for a week at Thanksgiving a week around Christmas and than about 10 days in mid January. Last year we fed between 190 and 200 tons total thru out the year from January to January. I think we have 6-8 of our two year olds top 160 and we and about 5 of our 3 year olds top 200. These are pasture deer not bucks that were turned out in September to be shot. This is a combination of bucks that were born in the pasture and buck fawns that were turned on in March when they were 7-8 months old. We are very pleased with our results so far Yes it is a more expensive feed but it is well worth the money to us.

I hear nothing but positive feedback from all the hunters using DD just as you have posted.
Thank you for sharing. You should send DD your pictures to their Facebook page!
The Double Down page is posting big bucks and progression photos every day.
You have some great looking bucks.
