Anyone running these? Bought one back before Christmas to use at the house as we have some thieves checking cars at night. Pictures are good, a little blurring at night, PIR sensor is great, set at 14MP, but the battery life sucks on mine! Started with Lithium batteries as recommended, got 3000 pics before they died, tried regular alkaline and got 2000 pics.
Anyone have similar results or better? I'm also using a couple different Brownings and average 6000 pics on a set of batteries, even with the cold weather we've had lately.
Ideas? Suggestions?

TIA

I'm using 8 different cameras. I doubt that I get that much battery life on any of mine.

I changed the amounts some after I went back and looked at a couple SD cards. Moultrie claims 10,000 pics on battery life, not sure if the MP setting has anything to do with it though

The settings do have a drain on the batteries. I set at lowest resolution, double pics at five to ten minutes apart. Video runs battery down.

I bought the solarpans. Get pics year round. Amazon has them the cheapest

Might consider lowering the MP. I've taken 9K pics with my Browning @ 2MP with the battery percentage showing 63% and the picture quality in the daytime is still great.

Night photos will suffer with the lower MP, but I have a cheap Tasco with flash for night pics. The flash shows better detail than IR IMO.

I run a couple of them. I think through bow and rifle season I changed them once. They do good enough for the price I got
