Figure it'd be handy to have one for 7-8 rounds of ammo and a place to keep batteries for my scope & a few other small items.. I've looked at Triad & PIG, any others out there you like?

I bought a cheapo pad/pouch off amazon and have been real pleased with it. Had it on over a year and put a lot of time behind the rifle.

I prefer Triad. The Velcro fasteners are much easier than lace-up which I also have. P_102

Look no further than Triad. I've got them on every bolt action rifle. Hard use on all, and they're still just fine. Great customer service through Triad, also.

Triad. The regular size. The large is a bit too big too bulky

i've tried the stock pack, hollow survival stock,
stuff-inside-the-stock-under-the-buttplate, sling
with shell loops, etc.
about all i'll carry extra on my rifle is one of those
cheap elastic sleeves with shell loops. and only
about 4 rounds then. if need be, i can have it off
as quick as it takes to get my pocketknife out.

I have a cheapo on my Savage 24C, carrying about 8-10 20 gauge and a box or so of 22LR, and 6 of 270 Win for the one in the rack beside it... It's an Allen and has been in the weather and used daily for 2+ years

I put a LH Pig on my .280 canoe paddle Ruger for last season. One of the ballistic tip cartridges (loops inside) poked a small hole through the bottom, but it's supposed to be a knock around rifle anyway.

The Triad looks identical to the Hornady to me and the Hornady is cheaper.

I went with Hornady on that one Travis. Liked the price at the time.

Triad. I happen to have an OD Green one, like new, I'm gonna put up for sale. It's the normal size one.
I bought a bigger one to hold mags.
