Decided to try to get on the water last night after a rough day and a few days of not chumming my carp up on Town lake Austin, Texas.

well coming into town i ran right into several thousand people doing an anti trump "rally"?? i dont know and i don't really care honestly, it meant i had to paddle and extra few miles and listen to them scream "Get Up, Fight" for 3 hours strait, but none of that is any of my business..
so i sat in my spot after chumming it for about 3 hours the air temps dropped to about 50 degrees from around 75 degrees from when i first was on the water, two of my LED lights were dying and i was ready to leave to get away from the protesters.
i look over and one of my rods is slacked up, i reel into it slowly and find the fish to be sitting directly under my kayak 25 feet down, i set the hook and this fish gave me one of the best fights i have had in a few months. it took me 15 minutes to catch her and she drug me a good 200 yards in my 10 foot kayak.

i hooked her up on homemade dough baits and chummed the spot with cheap home made chum.

She was released after about 2 minutes out of the water to grow and reproduce, i think i need to go get a net cause i barely landed this thing with the little tiny hooks I'm using
