I know this is useless without pictures. This morning going into town I had what was the largest Axis herd I have ever seen cross in front of me. I stopped after a few had crossed as I know they all stay together and it doesn't matter if there are cars coming or what and I have had them run into the side of me before. I counted 76 when I lost track and they continued on. I am being very conservative and I would think there were over 125 in the herd. A lot of spikes and 2 year olds. Only one good buck.

Holy Moly Don, they are taking over. Someone will likely trap them!

They were between my place and the Mayan Dude Ranch on Schmidtke Road. I see Axis every time I go to town, but never this many in one bunch.

I remember driving through Leakey many years ago and amazed at the herds of Axis running and lounging around in the middle of town eek2
