A while back I think I posted something about this and most people thought it'd be the G19. Well, according to this and military.com and a few other sources, SIG Sauer got the $580 million contract.

New sidearm will be the P320.

I remember when SIG released the gun. Guns & Ammo loved it. I also remember it being marketed as a Glock competitor.

What do y'all think of the gun and the Army's decision?

Good choice. I don't personally like Glocks at all. Love Sig.

I'm with you. I'm sure it's a price issue but that beretta m9a3 is pretty sick.

When something like this comes out it will be another 5-10 yrs before most military units receive the weapon. Same thing happened with the M4 heck some units still have M16s

Hate sigs and the trigger sucks period. 19 is a better shooter and better when filthy dirty that was a bad decision IMO. The M9 trigger sucks too but it's a shooter unlike ANYTHING with sig stamped on it.

I just pulled it up on google and it wasnt too attractve. Just cause a woman isnt gorgeous doesnt mean she cant satisfy. Ive never shot one or have an opinion other than it isnt very nice looking.

I wish they would use American guns, instead of companies that have their roots outside the US.

Shot both prefer the sig over the glock.

My SP2022 will outshoot the M9. Better trigger, cheaper gun, polymer.

SIG is based out of Exeter, NH. What matters is the quality of weapon not the origins of the olden companies. Just about everything in international markets has corporate headquarters and is "based out of" USA.

Colt: American.
Springfield Armory: American.
Smith and Wesson: American.
Remington: American.
Ruger: American.

FNH: founded in Belgium.
Sig Saur: founded in Germany.
HK: German.
Beretta: founded in Italy.
Glock: Austrian.

There are plenty of great American arms makers out there.

Carried both as duty weapons and prefer the Glock over the Sig.

Your opinion and that's all it could be at 18 years of age means nothing to me.


The siq will NOT perform like a Glock after/during a sandstorm in the Middle East that's a fact not an opinion.
