Take a drive up I-35 to Gainesville and over on 82 to Lindsay. Dieter Brothers BBQ is really good, The Smokehouse is 2 doors down. Then you can drive on over to Muenster and pick up some sausage at Hess Meats and Fischer's Market.

I am a BBQ fan of high order. As such I have eaten BBQ all over Texas , but my home is in DFW area. I think Hutchins in Mckinney and Frisco can hang with any I have had... Now that being said ... It is a food that can vary from trip to trip. You really have to eat a few times at any joint to know what is their best effort. Even Hutchins had a bad day my last trip. sigh,,,,

Most of them bbq places use way too much salt and make it taste like smoke.

Keep it simple folks, dont overdo it
