Color me impressed.
Performance wise, it is getting an AR-15 platform to narrowing the gap to .22-250. This really is a great improvement over the .223.
Only down side is going to be brass price. .223 brass is dirt cheap, this brass will be significantly more expensive.

I am going to be interested to see bullet length issues.
I can't find the length of the new eld match 72 or 77 grain. But that would be something.
Was thinking about making a 6.5 Grendel but may go this route

Still think the Grendel is a higher performing round. But, if ya like velocity, this one is hard to beat.

Are they saying you can only get a 55 grain ballistic tip to appx. 2600 fps in a 223? I have Nosler loading manual that says that's not even starting loads for a 223. Am I missing something or are they just trying to make it look better than it is?

Well, you know how Nosler tends to bend the truth...

Looks like some number fudging for sure. I still want one though.

HAHA Looking on nosler's online data it lists a max load of benchmark with a 55 grain at 3540 fps and the fastest load with the 22 nosler is 3518 I'm betting its going to be a flop.

here is what i dont understand.... First if i get a hod rod i am going to run it. So i am going to look at the 77 grain data according to hodgon data, the 223 the 77 grain bullet maxes at 2811 fps out of a 24in barrel according to noslers data, the 22 nosler maxes out at 2981 fps out of a 24in barrel according to the nosler blog Nosler® Match Grade™ Ammunition— 77gr. Custom Competition - 3,100 fps (24” SAAMI test bbl) | 2,950 fps (18” gas-op semi auto) so either there load data is mild or they are running their ammo hard also that means its a 150fps drop for 6in of barrel

I think they pulled 223 low pressure data not 5.56/223 data their posted 223 data is mild to say the least

This looks to be the same case capacity as the 22/6.8SPC which has been around for several years in a couple of different designs. Mine has the same 30 degree shoulder as the 22Nosler so I would expect the two to be identical ballisticly. You can run a 75 gr AMax about 3050-3080fps with a 22inch barrel which is about 200fps or more faster than a 223. I ran 50gr at 3500+ from the same 22 inch barrel
Just my opinion after owning both a 1/12 twist and a 1/8 get the fast twist run heavier high BC bullets and you have something you can't do as well as a 223 unless you single load and even then you will give up some performance
