we are MLD but LO (and we agree) runs season from mid Oct to mid Jan - even though I hate to see the season end I think 3 months is enough pressure on a ranch -

I agree on bucks that's when we tried to use the time to fill doe quota if it hadn't been done... they were hungry and easy to find during late Jan.... still dosnt take the full pressure off of bucks so I see what you sayin

yeah, I thought my season was done. and, even though, I got a big 8 pointer the second weekend of the season, I'm left wanting a little bit more before the long offseason begins. so, I'm trying to figure out if I can fly down to austin on a thursday evening and then hunting friday afternoon through sunday midday with my dad on his MLD lease out in the ozona area. he can take a trophy and a cull, but hasn't shot a buck yet so maybe in february I can take 2 days off work and get out there to hunt with him. maybe I can take one his bucks since it will be his last hunt of the year

I feel you man. I like to expand my horizon and do some fishing and air gunning for squirrels, and the like. If your not picky, there is still a lot of hunting and fishing to be done in the next 9 months. Sure, its' not deer hunting, but it's better the nothing.

I'm sorry for my sins Jesus, please forgive me.
