What works best? I have seen it down with a circular saw with the blade turned backwards. Do they make a metal cutting wheel for a circular saw? What about a Saws All with a metal cutting blade?
Thanks in advance.

We use a circular saw with a metal blade. Home depot should carry a multitude, though I prefer diablo brands.
Make sure you use hearing protection, because the saw on those thin sheets of metal makes a LOT of noise.

if you just have a little cutting to do, use an old blade turned around running backwards to normal cutting. It's a bit slow but gets it done without having to buy a blade. If you have a lot of cutting, invest in a metal cutting blade but those aren't cheap!
as 7x57 stated, use hearing protection, it's a loud son of a gun cutting metal!

If you`re close to Houston give me a holler, I have a set of nibblers that you can use. It`s the safe way to do it if you are going across the ribs. I`ve seen some pretty bad injuries with saw blades and sheet metal.

I use the cut off wheel and it worked great This works. Still need hearing and eye protection. I've done it with a sawzall, and a cutting wheel on a 4.5 inch grinder was a hundred times more efficient. Rips through it like it's nothing.

I just use a dull carbide saw blade, just like you would use to cut wood. just be sure to wear gloves and eye and ear protection.

Look at a Black and Decker 7975, you use it one time and you will never go back. It is like a can opener power tools.

You can also use a 4 1/2" grinder with metal cutoff blade, throws a lot of sparks like skill saw will. The sawzall makes tin jump around a lot. Be safe wear all safety equipment glasses, gloves, ear protection, have fire extinguisher available if sparks, have a buddy just in case of emergency.

I know this is old now but if you are using R panel I have a shear for that. It looks like a giant paper shear but for sheet metal. Quick and quiet!

A good nibbler works like a champ. anyone working with R panels needs one. Have used mine a plenty on my DIY barndo build.
