I've used a wet canned dog food (think gravy). I've even used raw ground beef.
My dogs barely eat when they know we are on a hunt.

Is it the newer sugar free peanut butter is supposed to be bad for dogs?

She eats just fine as soon as she's back home, plus I only hunt max 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening. That's total time for both dogs. Not fed any sooner than 1 hour after hunting in the evening. My Britt never has a problem with appetite.

It's tougher on us than it is on the pup. We've had this conversation before. I had one that would hunt two days on nothing but bird heads. I've gone through restaurants gathering leftovers. I've hand fed them. Good eaters is one of the overlooked great traits there is until you have a picky eater.

Often as they get older and more used to travel they will begin eating better on the road.
