Hello everyone,
My name is Denny Vasquez and I am a board member of the charity group, Texas Outdoor C.H.I. L.D.. For the last 16 years, we have been providing outdoor adventures to youngsters that have a terminal illnesses, are in remission from a terminal illness or have experienced a life altering medial event. I have a 10 year old young man from San Antonio that is in remission from ALS Leukemia that wants to go hunting. To the best of my knowledge this young man has never even shot a rifle before so it could be a challenging hunt. We have a group of ranches that we normally work with but since last year was a really busy year for us I don't want to abuse the privilege, so to speak, so I am looking for someone that might be willing to help us make this young man's dream come true. This does not have to be a huge trophy animal, just a representative of the species that can provide some meat for his family and a head that we can mount for him to put on his wall to remember the event by. The young lady at the top of the page is the reason that this young man wants to go hunting. She has lost her left leg to cancer and they know each other from the hospital where they were getting their treatments. That's awesome we had multiple opportunities when my son was going through his 5 years of ALL Leukemia treatment but since I hunted and had a place was not necessary. For many young afflicted this is a only chance for them and family to enjoy the outdoors during very rough times. Thanks to Rancher.
