I once drank muddy water out of a hoof print and was dang glad to get it.

May be from the 1960's. Sure looks old. I would keep them as souvenirs. My grandfather had some old boxes of Remington in .244 caliber from the 1960's.

I'd guess the first one shown (Winchester Silvertip) is older than the 60's.

The Winchester box with the bear is dated as far back as 1940, its when the bear was introduced on its labeling.

Very cool, especially the bear. I have a Kleanbore box, 300 Savage too, I believe. Excellent start to an ammo box collection. Some guys are big into that. More interesting than postage stamps I guess. Here's a couple my grandfather had:
...and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Gen. 1:28

Internet says that the one Winchester box with the bear on it was made before 1956.

. I would say 1950's and 1960's for sure. I have several at home. Will post up some pics later. Very cool find!

The yellow Winchester box in the last picture is from the 70's I believe.
