I didnt see a date for that article but yeah they been here, been coming from exotic game ranches. Didnt see any at the chap last week, just javelinas.

I'm north of the Chap about 40 miles. Game warden stopped in for dinner the other night said a couple had been killed recently between us and Cotulla. One of my hunters was at the Chap last year when a couple were killed

I think a few ranches in S Tx. I think the pics that surfaced awhile back was from Brittinghams place. I read they don't breed with our hogs. It's kind of cool but we would be better off not introducing species that can be that destructive.

Somewhere (maybe this forum) I saw where somebody posted a game cam picture of one that was hitting their feeders with the whitetail. It will be interesting to see if they can take a foothold down there. I know the biologist/TPWD personnel on the Chap want them gone.

They would be fun to kill. Would kinda suck if you popped one, and like other pigs they had the tendency of going a long ways after the shot, and they ended up down one of those warthog holes. You'd need a warthog retrieving lion to work its claws down there and pull it out. Which would also be fun, but present challenges.

Warthogs are heavily preyed upon by lions, leopards, hyenas, and crocodiles (and even rhino) in Africa. Preyed upon by Rhinos, last I heard Rhino's were herbivores? Only thing I can think of would be a defensive instinct, can't imagine why though unless protecting their newborn or pizzing them off
