And no cold fronts in the forecast. Guess I need to get the mosquito spray back out. SMH

Hopefully all of the snow and ice they are calling for this weekend in Northern OK and further up will push some birds into N.TX.

Im hopeful at least. Ill be honest, Id rather hunt in 40-60 degree weather than the 16 degree weather we hunted last weekend. Man it was miserable out there.

It was all locked up in the north last week which should have pushed birds down already. I have seen an influx of birds but just in different areas than we normally see. We drive by a tank every time we head to where we hunt and it hasn't had more than 1-2 birds on it in the last three years. It's been holding 20 or more lately and where we normally see a few hundred there are only 20-30. I've noticed small water being stacked and larger water not having much.

Fronts were great- had TONS of birds the 26th after rain ran thru. These fronts from the NW push a lot of birds down as well.

Well, the cold sure helped. But the wind the last couple of days have kept me away. Gonna see what happens tomorrow and Thursday.

Today wasn't what I thought it would be. Found a hole holding a good number a couple of days ago, but only 4 greenheads today to show for it.

I took my son out with a buddy of his that he has been hunting with forever. That 4 greenheads was between us all.

The good news is that he had lost his fire for dux over the last couple of years. Being a senior in high school, I understand he is more into his girlfriend. After this trip he said that he can't wait to go again... so there's that! up
