In need suggestions for a new optic for my S&W 460XVR. This things thumps when fired, and due to the thump it keeps knocking screws loose on my Burris FF3. I get roughly 20 shots before it's loose. I'm looking for something that has at least 2 clamping screws to hold it on to the rail. Don't want to go tonanscope necessarily unless it's a fixed 3x or less. 2MOA dot or smaller

I don't know what color that is but blue, red, and purple isn't working. Thought about trying rockset but sometimes I need to remove it because it knocks the base screws loose.

I had a Rem XP1 in 350 Rem Mag. I ended up having to put 3 rings on it.

I had 3 rings when I used a Burris scope but it didn't hold zero after a year.

I have their old style mount that doesn't use the factory rear sight mounting, glad to see they changed it

Somebody on the S&W forum mentioned Ultradot for bigger pistols. Midway has several including this one

I have only scoped one pistol and it was a .357 mag Ruger Blackhawk with Wiegand mounts and a Burriss scope...and I agree with that old pistol expert (who I wish I would have known) Elmer Keith....scoping a pistol is just not a great idea.
