When trying to find a certain load that works best with a specific rifle, how do you work your loads to find the most accurate considering the charge weight and the length of cartridge both factor in. Which do you guys start tweaking first?

Charge first then oal within perspective. If a max load care must be taken enlongating coal for pressure spikes.

Powder first, always. Most of the time I can tune the load with the powder if you seat the bullet correctly to the lands. If the bullet is a tangent ogive, then seating depth will not matter much, as they as not seating depth sensitive. The newer, more aggressive bullets coming out, some have a very aggressive secant ogive, and will need to be seated close to the lands to shoot well. If you are feeding from a short magazine, then these bullets can be difficult to tune with a long jump, no matter the powder charge. So, it really depends on what type of bullet you run, as to what method works best.

I start at the lands with the long bullets. Only one way to go from there for tuning.

I am shooting a pro Hunter bullet. Only test one variable at a time. I start with bullets 0.010" off the lands and then leave them alone and test increasing charges of powder. Except for the big boomers, I start 3.0 grains below max, load 1 round moving up 0.3 gr at a time, just to check speed which is an indicator of pressure and also watch for signs of excessive pressure on the brass and bolt lift. Then with 2.0 grains from max, move up 0.2 gr for three rounds each the last two grains up to max. Test at least at 200 yards and good loads will be apparent. 300 makes it even more obvious. The Pro Hunters have a tangent ogive and usually are not sensitive to seating depth. What round are you loading?

I find the lands then check if seated to that depth will work through the magazine, if not shorten them for proper function.
With the GK bullet .02 off the lands should work well that has an ogive that is not that depth sensitive and can usually get very good accuracy with adjusting the powder charge
