Loc: Where the ducks are
Started breaking 1-1/4 to 1-1/2" ice this morning around 5:30. We didn't think it was going to be this thick and took a lot longer to get a pocket opened up than we thought. Finally stopped around 630 and started setting up the spread. We were covered with birds first thing, passed on quite a few, then things died off. After the early flurry, we picked off singles and doubles to finish out our limit.
Ended up with a mixed bag today

An inflatable island that broke lose and floated away. It got stuck on the tree over the summer when the water got low.

That boot*lip looks like he's fairly well plumed out and that wigeon looks pretty stormy. Nice mixed bag.

The widgeon will be going on the wall. The spoonie has some great colors, but was a little close when he got shot. A little plucking and killing all at once rifle
