So I am on the bandwagon about the ISO for leases. In all honesty I have a great deer lease in Zapata county already with a great land owner. Could not ask for better. Hope this doesn't change for a long time. My issue is as much as I love deer hunting I like the excitement of other hunting as well.
I love hunting exotics but he prefers not to put any on the ranch (Yes HF Ranch). I respect that and haven't asked again. I would love a LF lease in the hill country area where the possibility of exotics is a common occurrence or even far west Texas where elk may be possible. I would even go as far as to signing a lease agreement not allowing me on the lease during deer season. Only after and before.
I have another proposal as well, If you own a HF place in the southern area are within a few hours of the Zapata area and want exotics on your place but do not want to fork up the cash for some animals I would be willing to start stocking your ranch with them. Mainly Axis & Blackbuck but we can discuss others as well. We would work up a legal contract that grants me permission to hunt them and stock them there for personal use only ( Non Commercial!!) as well as you and or your family may hunt them as well. Of course everything would be outlined and made clear so there are no grey areas and certain management plan put in place so we do not over hunt them. If this interests you feel free to PM me or comment here.

Shade, have you researched what is involved in stocking exotics, i.e., licenses, transportation rules, etc. You may find it's not as easy as you think or maybe it is.

I have many times thought the same thing about stocking exotics with arrangements such as yours. I'd be willing to do the same but figured it must not be so easy (as DQ Kid suggested researching) else more people would already be doing it.
My botnet is bigger than yours.

As far as I know unless you get into some of the endangered species and as long as you buy and transport in Texas there is nothing hard about it. You can buy just about anything off Wildlife Buyer. Go pick them up in Leakey and go where ever you want as long as it is in State.

Yea I've done research it's not as hard as most people think. Most animals require minimal if any license permits etc. I am already familiar with what it takes and I have experience with moving whitetail to my ranch. Yes I have a buddy that owns a couple hundered acres in Leaky. Been trying to lease or for years!
