This 8yr old killed his first four deer last week. His 12yr old brother guided him to his first deer. A fat spike buck.

He and my wife made several other hunts together. Six more does bit the dust between them.

The kid ended up with a spike and three does.

Only one of his shots was less than perfect. The last doe he shot was quartering to. And he doesn't yet understand angles. Guess the wife doesn't either. The bullet broke her shoulder, traveled the length of her body, and lodged just under the skin of her opposite hip. After penetrating the hip bones.

The doe above was one of 3 perfect shots.

You simply don't need "super bullets" or loads for thin-skinned medium, to large game animals.
