In the fifth picture, what is the term for the flat appearance on the antler? My old memory is not working today. great pictures.

What action is your rifle made from? Those are two interesting deer.

yep bladed or palmated

it was a fun year, just hope we get back on this year. the man who runs cattle on this ranch leases hunting rights to us. He's a great man but getting very old, we worry every year he may quit running his cattle. The family (owners) will then decide what to do. They are from Austinfornia and don't really hunt........our place could get $5,000 a gun, we pay WAY less.......for now crying

I think bladed is more of just a flattened antler like a blade palmated is when the antler fans out like a palm leaf

I shot a 11 pointer this year and it had a brow tine with the palmated look. It was not as pronounced as in the picture Buzzsaw shared with us.

McWhorter Rifles built it using the Borden Timberline action, 6.5 Weatherby, it will get way out there. I haven't shot any game at over 100 yards with it though confused2
