I've been trolling around, pricing, comparing, and watching youtube videos and thinking about buying one. I've been shooting my Browning Boss Mantis for WAY too long 15-16 years! Think I've narrowed it down to a few models "don't want to break the bank" She's done me right over the years and put lots of meat in the freezer, but it's time we part ways!

1. Bear Marshal
2.Bear Wild All 3 between $400-$500
3.Bear Authority

Then Cabelas puts these on clearance today
4.Bear Crux
5. Bear Tremor

Anyone have any dealing with them? Like, hate, anything? And no I don't want to hear how better other brands are like Mathews or Hoyt or whatnot lol

I shot an old Bear for years, and I have been shooting a Traxx for about a year now. It's a little heavy, but other than that I love it.

I have shot all of those and like the Crux and Trax the best. Just like the draw cycle better on them than the others. Generally speaking bear bows are a bit heavier than some of the other brands as you have noticed.

Another I saw marked down on the Cabela's sight is their Fortitude which is on sale for 150 off and is a sweet shooter with a great back wall, made by Bowtech.

Mine is a Fred Bear Grizzly, made ~1956. I few years ago I converted it to a bow fishing rig, and I have been thinking about buying a compound bow to replace it. I love my recurve, but they just don't have a lot of power when compared to modern compounds.

My very 1st bow was a old Fred Bear recurve and I could shoot the SHI# out of that thing at 7 years old! I'm guessing that's why I'm leaning towards Bear Archery...

My favorite bows are the Kodiak Magnum from Bear, have a 45 and a 50lb, those are for the fun and were the only ones I hunted with this year. Didn't shoot anything but was still fun

I shoot a Bear Arena 34. Got it very lightly used in 2015 for $350. I really like it. Quiet, solid back wall, and fast enough you don't have to crank the poundage as high to get the same velocity as some other bows

Great deal on a very good shooting bow. I like the Arena 34 better than the Arena 30 and 350 is a great price

I shoot a 2014 Domain. Found the ready to hunt package online for $350 shipped. Literally half the price that cabelas and bass pro wanted for it.

No major complaints so far!

I did it. Cabelas put the Bear Crux on sale for $299 and I jumped on it! Now, if I can just keep this info from the wife for a couple of weeks LOL!!

my son bought a Bear about 6 or 7 years ago and doesn't like it. It's fast but it's heavy and very noisy. He has had it looked at, tuned and added every noise suppression they have to the bow. I shoot a Browning and like it but I bought my daughter a Botech Carbon Rose and wow what a bow that is. It's almost as fast as mine which is set at 65lbs pull her bow is set at 35lbs but hers is 10 times quieter.

I shot a Bear Element from 2007-2012. It was a $300 box store bow. It was right after back surgery #2 and I needed a compound on a budget. The deer I killed with it are just as dead as the Bowtech, Hoyt, and Elite I hunted with since then. They are good shooters in my opinion but get a bad rap due to years of being sold in department and box stores. I have a Bear Super Kodiak recurve, but that is the only Bear I currently own.
