Im opposite. Ive had nothing but great luck with the Havocs. Ive shot 4 deer with them and had all 4 fall in sight. All 4 have been complete pass through, double lung shots. Pinwheeled em! One was a 300lb Kansas buck that struggled to make it 50yds after a 42 yard shot. I cant say enough good things about the Havoc.
I do understand your frustration.
Glad you got the doe with your boy. Sounds like fun. If I were you, I'd jump on over to the G5 Montec as suggested earlier but be ready for a blood trail that is far smaller than what the Havoc left. I still use the Montecs from time to time and I love those too but blood trails are sparse at time, especially on marginal shots. I double lunged a KS doe this yr with a Montec and watched her fall after 25yds and there wasn't a drop of blood on the ground. Weird and glad she didn't run out of sight.
I avoid Dick's and hope they fold.
