When is the Blackbuck's coat in it's prime. I am wanting to hunt one when they are at their prime color. I want a DARK sable brown buck. Please advise.

Their coats are typically good all year but the bucks tend to have a darker color the older they are.

In my opinion they darken in October and stay dark through January

I have Several that are black as can be and are big. The ranch is beween lampasas and gatesville. We have 30+ blackbuck males.

I believe he's referencing the quantity he has (30+), not the horn length, but I could be mistaken. A 30"+ blackbuck would be demand some serious coin.

30 as in the number of males. My biggest is probaly 24".
