Had to do it, stopped by 407 BBQ on the way to Jacksboro today, man it was worth the little detour to get there up
Pigged out on the Brisket plate which is way good and generous portions, so another two thumbs up for Tritonman's grub.

I also had the pleasure of meeting these 3 hoodlums laugh Billy on the left Big dog Bryan in the middle and the Cousin David on the right. Nice meeting you gents.

Now to the meat and potatoes of the matter, mighty tasty folks food

You should have taken the leftover brisket by Dairyland when you got to Jacksboro, and showed them what real brisket looks and taste like!

You know that such a shame, I have hunting in Jacksboro (JB) since the 80's. Seems like Dairyland use to have decent bbq sandwiches about 10 + years ago, been all downhill since. Last time I ate there was about 4 years ago with my son, did not touch the bbq had chicken fingers which were good.

I think a good BBQ spot in Jacksboro would make some $$ up What is the closest good BBQ place to JB?

BTW the Brisket was good and moist enough to where I did not need or use any of the BBQ sauce up

Good BBQ doesn't need sauce.

Hashknife in Peadenville, 20 miles South on 281. The other option is Zekes in Windthorst 21 miles North.

I will try Zeke's since I am 8 miles north of Jacksboro on 148. Periodically I will go to the Windthorst General Store and get some of Fischer's sausages they sell up

Raymond's BBQ in Bridgeport is really consistent. Never a bad meal
