Surely it is not based of the same case as the other recent ones.

My thought exactly. If it is then it should come with a few extra barrels.

I doubt seriously it's a straight neck down of previous Nosler rounds but maybe a new case design.
Supposed to be announced at Shot Show.
I have seen the brass being sold online in 250 round boxes so must be something they think will be shot in volume.

The little I have found is wait for the shot show for the news release.

At the price Natchez has the 250 count brass it will not be a real large case. My guess is something more on the order of their version of the PPC case size.

Hearing word on the grapevine that it's an AR round that'll push 77gr at 3300fps.

Im not an AR fan, never owned or shot one, so not much knowledge about them. Will a 22-250 fit in an AR?

It will fit in an AR-10 not AR-15,

That velocity can be reached from a 22-250AI without much trouble with the right powder or perhaps from a little smaller case with that bullet weight. Will be interesting to see what they come up with. That speed with a 77gr accubond would make for a good deer killer.

Sounds like it will look similar to the 22 dasher. Will have reamer prints here shortly.

Well if it's a necked down 243 or 308 there ain't nothing new about that. Many years back there was guy out in California using a necked down 284 and his own 22 cal custom bullets. He was shooting 80 grain bullets and getting just over 3500 fps with a 28 inch barrel.

It'll be shorter than that if it is for a ar15 platform.

Saw an advertisement for it and yes it's designed for a AR platform..... and I already have one.
I have actually had two one in a slow twist and now a fast twist.
Mine is called a 22DTI and it's a 6.8SPC necked down with a 30 degree improved shoulder.
From a 22 inch barrel I run 75AMax at just under 3100

It won't run in an AR-15 platform, which I suspect is their goal.

So basically this works out to a .223 +P? Roughly 200fps faster than a regular .223?

So it sounds like the 77 grainer at 3300 fps posted earlier in this thread is a little hype then?
