I'm looking for a hunting holster for a Glock 40 MOS with Leupold Delta Point Pro installed. I'm aware of the chest rigs, but I would like to know if anyone makes a cross draw belt holster. I did a search of the site and found very little. Thanks

Why would you want a cross draw? Seems like a lot of unnecessary movements. Chest rig is what I use for a S&W 460XVR with 8 3/4 barrel

Isn't that a crossdraw?

That's what I thought , just on your chest. I already have crossdraw holsters for a Smith .41 and a Blackhawk .45 and I like them. More out of the way for me.

You are asking about a cross draw belt holster, mine is a chest rig, which I guess technically is a cross draw, maybe scratch

I don't see how a cross draw belt holster is more out of the way than steing side holster.

For anything longer than a 4 inch barrel I use a cross draw especially if I'm getting in and out of the vehicle allot. I can't get in and out of the truck with a 6 or 7 1/2 inch revolver on my hip but have no problem if it's in a cross draw. If I squat down or sit back on my heel's (When I'm rattling) a side holster just digs in the dirt while the cross draw lays across the left leg. Plus I can pull the pistol out with less movement and less profile. Have to raise the arm and shoulder for a side rig and where you can keep it low and in front of you with a cross draw. The same apply if your on horseback, keeps the holster from digging into the saddle. Now with that said I like a shoulder rig if I'm wearing a jacket or it has a back strap to keep it from swinging out in front of me when I bend over. Going between the wires on a fence with a shoulder rig and no back strap is no fun.

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

This exactly ! For hunting purposes the crossdraw belt holster is just better for me. For barrels four inches and under, strong side right in front of my back pocket. It's all very personal, kinda like what drawers you like best...........

I've looked at their offerings, but saw no crossdraw belt holster. I have one ordered from CME holsters. It may not match the quality that my Safarilands have, but I'll see when it arrives. Thanks.
