I'm having a 22 dasher spun up right now. Throated to shoot 90's and I'm hoping I can get it to shoot like my 6 dashers/brx but push that 90 over 3100...if so, on paper it will drift less wind than the 6's using 105 hybrids. Obviously, I won't know until I get to play with it. My stock from McSwirly won't be here until May so I don't suspect I'll get to find out until late summer (at best).

Interested in hearing about the McS stock when you have time to work with it.

So it sounds like the 77 grainer at 3300 fps posted earlier in this thread is a little hype then?

Keep in mind the 75 is longer than most 77 so it takes up powder space.

I'm getting the F-class Kestros, it's a brand new stock they have just developed. Here is a link of a pretty decent write up about it:

http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/2016/12/new-kestros-f-class-open-stock-from-mcmillan/

Not many here shoot that type of stuff but I'm excited to get it, I'm putting a drop port Borden BXM action in it w/ a Bix N Andy trigger. It's gonna be a sweet rig.

Think I will just stick with the 22-243 short action Remington that is in the safe. With the 1:8 barrel it doesn't get any accuracy with the 90VLDs until velocity is above 3200fps but sure is fun.

A .22-6mm will push a 75 grain bullet to 3500 fps IIRC

With the right powder you can get that 75gr bullet to 3500+ with a 22-243 and 22 Creedmoor as well as the 224TTH/aka 22-6mm

Talked to Nosler about it yesterday. They have a few cases at their DSC booth. It's designed to be an AR round that supposedly has a decent amount more energy than the .22-250, while using a standard .376 AR bcg. Where the difference comes in is they basically blew out the body of the cartridge to 6.8spc diameter, so the only thing you'll have to change is your magazine. Well, and chamber, obviously.

It looks interesting. Should start shipping inside of two weeks.

If it has more energy than a 22-250 then it's not based on a 6.8 case. If the drawing I have seen are correct then it's 10-15% less than a 22-250. As I said I have been shooting an Improved 6.8 22 caliber in AR's for over 5 years and it ain't no 22-250 but it's better than the .223.... probably about half way between actually

That was my suspicion. I was just repeating what they told me. It's a totally new case due to the rebated rim. They said that due to the diameter it would need 6.8spc magazines, but could use a standard bcg.

The rebated rim does make it sound interesting and innovative and I am sure there is a niche for it.

Back in the 70's we were shooting 22-284's and getting some wicked velocity.
