*Hunting scenario shooting, as well as shooting drills to get people out of their comfort zone.
*No shots farther than 300 yards.
*Some stages prone or a bench will be allowed, whichever the competitor is most stable. Other stages involve field positional shooting.
*Targets are generously sized
*All stages are under a par time, but there is plenty of allocated time to make accurate shots for the stage.
*Normal, everyday hunting rifles will work. Scoped is recommended.
*No restrictions on rifle type, or scope type. Off-the-shelf to full custom. Run what you brung.
*It is recommended that your rifle/ ammo combination be capable of 1" at 100 yards, for three consecutive shots.
*Nothing larger than .30 caliber
*Speed limit is 3100 fps, muzzle velocity. Faster than that damages steel
*AR type rifles are welcome, but there are stages you have to safety the rifle while moving to engage from the next position.
*Trigger discipline, and muzzle discipline will be paramount at all times. Rifles should only be loaded with the maximum rounds for the stage. Magazines and chambers will be visually inspected for clear before shooters leave the firing line.
*After everyone signs in, zeroes, and we safety brief there will be a 600 yard walk. Then we will slowly make our way back to the zero line, as we shoot several stages on our way back.
*Spectators are welcome, plan to sign a waiver the same as shooters sign.
*Everyone is a range officer.
*Ear and eye protection is mandatory.
*$50 entry fee is due by Feb. 22
*Maximum of 30 competitors. Once it fills up, we will not accept any more registrations.
*$20 match T-shirt
*We will have lunch around noon, eat when you're not shooting a stage. The grill will be near the zero line. Bring cash to give to the cook.
*Bring mud boots, and rain gear. It rains every time I host a match. EVERY TIME!
*0700 sign in will begin, and mandatory 100 yard zero confirmation.
*Match will begin after 0800
*Bring 70 rounds of ammo.
*You may not switch rifles from one stage to another. You may switch rifles and/ or scopes only in the event of a malfunction.

*Registration will be on Chad's website http://dallasreloads.com/hunting-challenge-rifle-competition/
*Mail check or money order to: (waiting on Chad, I'll edit once I get the address)
*If you commit to a slot, and pay for it and/ or a shirt, and DO NOT SHOW, you will not be refunded your entry fee. Nor will you be refunded the price of a shirt, nor will the shirt be mailed to you. So show up, if you say you're going to.

*There will be a prize table, vendors are welcome to contact me, if they would like to donate to the prize table.
*brother-in-law provided the trophy for "Dead [censored] last" last year. Ramball36 has been holding it since. Let's see if he can pass it to someone else this year.

33.385020,-96.121576 is the location of the driveway. DO NOT!!! Under any circumstances, drive down CR 3805. It is a black dirt road, so if it has rained in the last three days it will be a mud road, and you'll get stuck.

Last time I had it on a B-shift we got zero sleep. Then I had to rush to the range and run a match. Never again will a match be on a B-shift.

Registration is up! We are limited to 30 shooters. Each year we fill up fast. Your online registration says you "plan" to come. The payment of your check says "you are" coming. When we get 30 "paid" shooters, we are filled up. When the check is received is the tie breaker for the cut off.

Please include the cartridge you plan to shoot, and the bullet you plan to shoot. We need to make sure we stay under the 3100 fps speed limit so we don't tear up the steel.

Last time there was a concern that 223 would not be enough power to move metal. Will that still be an issue
